This Mountain Lion was hand painted with USA-made food-safe glazes onto a wheel-thrown stoneware jar. The base of the jar has a textured sand glaze which is food safe but not dinnerware safe.
The inspiration for this piece came from a news story of a two year old male mountain lion (known as 157M) who wandered into the streets of San Francisco in 2026. He was later successfully released into the wild.
This is a completely original piece of functional ceramic art.
